Sustainability

At Nopinz our mission is to make high performance kit accessible to all athletes with no compromise and no limits. We are proud that all of our products are durable and long lasting. However,  as part of our environmental and social commitment we strive to be responsible, transparent and take accountability of any impacts associated with the production and use of our kit.

Responsible waste management

We are dedicated to minimising waste throughout our operations. Through our specialist production systems fabric waste is kept to a minimum when producing our kit. We also work with SWM to ensure any waste that we do produce is treated and disposed of correctly with zero waste to landfill.

Our packaging uses recycled and reclaimed materials which can be recycled. We are continually reviewing our packaging sources to ensure we are using the lowest impact packaging possible whilst also ensuring that are kit is protected during delivery.

We’re committed to closing the loop and extending the life cycle of our products where we can. Through our repair service, we encourage customers to repair, reuse, or recycle their garments when they reach the end of their life.

Sustainable suppliers

Where possible we use suppliers which provide fabrics with lower environmental impact (such as OEKO-TEX®, Bluesign® and GRS). We also seek to use suppliers with environmental management systems such as ISO 14001.

Through our Supplier Code of Conduct, we only work with manufactures who share our commitment to ethical labour practices and fair wages. We expect suppliers to strive to exceed both international and industry best practices by implementing environmental and social practices which go beyond what is required by regulations. In addition to this, we engage with suppliers to ensure that environmental and social impact is being kept to a minimum through annual surveys.

Where possible we also work with local suppliers to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum.

Carbon footprint

Our scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint is very low due to the fact that we use 100% renewable energy at our site. We also use electric company vehicles and encourage employees to consider sustainable commuting by offering a cycle to work and electric car scheme. In the future we will also be measuring our scope 3 emissions in order to understand the full impact of our supply chain and operations.

We currently offset any avoidable emissions through a verified offset provider.

Community engagement

Through our charity partnerships and employee volunteer days, we actively engage with the community to make a positive impact. In particular, we work closely with the Bike Network by donating kit as well as financial support. The Bike Network, who support the cancer community by supplying cycle equipment to patients, survivors and their direct family members.
